Gwenyn Kernow Submission November

Updated: Jan 13, 2023

We held our first inside meeting of the Winter on Friday the 18th November at our usual venue at Tregadillett. Carl Tinkler is a member of the Dartmoor Search and Rescue group.

He gave a very informative and pertinent presentation on all matters first aid with a particular focus on anaphylactic shock and the use of epipens. A good attendance had plenty of opportunity to practice their CPR skills and improve their all-round knowledge of the latest guidance on first aid. Please see photo of an unsuspecting apple being epipenned!

Sue and Mark Hoult have begun Bee School with 12 novice or near novice members of the CBKA attending. Hopefully besides the vital training and information they receive they will form associations that they can maintain throughout their beekeeping journey. Our thanks to Mark and Sue for all the time they dedicate to ensuring new beekeepers get this valuable insight.

Further inside events are planned at Tregadillett Community Hall on:

17th February 2023 Beekeeping on a Budget

10th March 2023 This is Your Bee Life

On the 20th May 2023 we have pencilled in an outside event : a Bee Safari hopefully to involve our local Bee Inspector.

Our combined Annual Dinner and AGM is booked for Saturday 21st January 2023 and is now available for LBG members to book!!
